Course Overview

This qualification reflects accounting job roles in financial services and other industries, including tax agents, accounts payable and accounts receivable officers, payroll service providers, and employees performing a range of accounting tasks for organisations in a range of industries. Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a range of often complex problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They apply initiative to plan, coordinate and evaluate their own work and provide guidance to others within defined guidelines.

up to 2 may be from any currently endorsed Certificate IV or above training package qualification or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.

Stanford College Australia has a simple but methodical RPL process that is outlined in detail in the Policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Current Competency (Credit Transfer).

Prospective students will be made aware of the RPL policy and process prior to enrolment into the program, via discussions, the Learner Information, and/or RTO website (when available), and are encouraged to apply if they believe that they may be eligible.

Age Requirements:

All students must of the age of 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission.
English Language Requirements:

An English language proficiency level of one of the following:

- IELTS band score of 5.5 (academic test version) or equivalent
- IELTS band 5.0 and a successful completion of ELICOS.
Academic Requirements

Minimum secondary studies in their home country equivalent to an Australian Year 12 and FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
If Student has not Completed FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Student will be required to complete the following unit of competencies additionally to comply with the entry requirement of the training package:

- FNSACC321 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
- FNSACC322 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
- FNSACC418 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry
- FNSACC421 Prepare financial reports (this unit is the equivalent version of BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports).
